U4U partners with Children of Promise to sponsor children living in Uganda. If you would like to sponsor a child, please visit their website, Children of Promise.

Animals

By purchasing an animal for a pastor/church, you create the opportunity to bring food/milk to that community.

Goats: $65-$85 each
Chickens: $10 each
Pigs: $50 each
Turkey: $50 each

T.A.P.P.

These items help sustain families that have been devastated by death or disease (I.e. HIV, malaria, etc.) Small projects like "A Bucket of Love" is a bucket full of items that assist in the life of a family/jjajja (grandparent)/etc. This includes maize flour, sugar, rice, beans, tea, soup, among other staples. Other "Small Projects" can be a charcoal selling project, a tailoring machine, soap making, layers (chickens) and small vegetable stands to name a few.

Small Projects: $120 each
Bucket of Love: $50 each
Rent or Medical Care: $50-$100

Buildings

With over 44 million people in Uganda, there is a continual need for schools throughout the entire country. Also, many churches have built up to where the roof begins, but lack the resources to put a roof over their heads. In addition, latrines (bathrooms) enable a healthier way of living for communities.

Classroom Building: $10,000-$12,000 per unit
Church Roof: $10,000 each
Toilet/Latrine (2 stanzas) $1,000

Water Projects

There is opportunity to give clean drinking water as a gift to a community - either village, a school or a church. This could be a borehole - drilled or hand dug in conjunction with a water tank and an electric pump, or rain water catchment systems, or filtration systems. Prices vary and can be attained when requested.

Borehold: $7,000-$12,000
Water Tank & Pump: $2,000
Water Catchment: $5,000

Christian world missionaries provide Bibles and other resources for theological study in Uganda.

Biblical Studies

Biblical Studies include Theological Education by Extension (T.E.E.) which is like a home bible study course that can be 1-2 years of training; or it can include Core Discipleship which is a 2-year line accredited course from the USA. Students graduating from these studies go on to become local church leaders carrying the Gospel of Christ to their communities.

Bibles: $35 each
Theological Study Books (TEE): $15 each
Core Discipleship Contribution: $100/student
